The DFML is designed to provide a clean interface layer between a file system and DataFlash devices and provides.

• Allows managed sectors to be set aside and reserved for non-file system usage
• Allows unmanaged sectors to be reserved for private function e.g. Boot memory operations
• 10K random write per sector refresh operations are managed transparently
• Provides optional Error Correction algorithms for added reliability
• Provides enhanced wear leveling operations
• DFML-M allows multiple DataFlash devices to be supported as a single array.
