The portfolio covers all solutions from small form factor modules up to complete modules including host processor that can be used for advanced scenarios.

Which wireless solution?

Choosing connectBlue products will make your product development independent of the fast wireless technology evolution and making you able to always use the latest features and variants of the different wireless technologies. The following is a good guideline: 

  • If you are looking for a robust, low power and secure wireless link with throughput demands up to 600 kbps and a range more than 300 metres then Bluetooth technology is the choice for you. Bluetooth technology is also the choice if high system density with preserved performance is needed. 
  • If you are looking for high throughput, TCP/IP network orientated and medium power wireless link with throughput from 1 to 54 Mbps and a range of up to 70 metres then Wireless LAN is the choice for you.

The connectBlue Wireless Bluetooth products are using a radio technology working in the free and world wide available 2.4 GHz ISM band. The connectBlue offer is a complete range of products from starter kits for evaluation, OEM modules for built in purposes up to complete packaged products with its own housing.

The Bluetooth technology is very robust thanks to its adaptive frequency hopping technique which makes it very suitable for industrial, professional, medical and other applications with very tough demands.

WLAN Products

The connectBlue Wireless LAN products are using a radio technology working in the free and world wide available 2.4 GHz ISM band. The product offering includes modules supporting both 802.11b and 802.11b/g standards. The connectBlue offer includes both OEM modules with all software embedded and modules that uses a host processor for the TCP/IP stack for high demanding applications.

The Wireless LAN technology makes it possible to achieve a high bandwidth which makes it very suitable for demanding applications like file transfer, streaming audio/video and internet access.
