Trainers can be combined with Analysis products such that the results of these exercised scenarios can be captured to find problems with protocol compliance or other unusual problems. By capturing and replaying scenarios from previous errors, some regression testing also becomes possible.

Protocol Compliance Tests

PCI and the related protocols each have protocol compliance tests which products must pass before they can be described as compliant. This task is greatly simplified by the use of bus exercisers and analyzers. The exerciser can be used to generate specific traffic for generating test cases and the analyzer can capture the result thereby proving compliance with the test suite.
